The Challenge
"A resume flattens people into a page of text. A startup wanted to help job seekers stand out by adding video introductions, answers to common questions and a verified identity to their career profile, then sharing all of it with a single link."
Recording yourself is uncomfortable, so the product had to coach people to a take they're happy with. Profiles had to be quick to tailor for different roles, easy to share, trustworthy to the people viewing them, and able to show the job seeker who was actually watching.
Our Approach
We designed and built the platform end to end: a Next.js web app and a NestJS API, video recording and processing, an AI video coach, identity verification through a verification provider, public profile pages with share links and QR codes, and profile analytics.

The whole product: accounts with several tailored profiles each, in-browser recording of video intros and answers, an AI coach that gives feedback after each take, identity verification, shareable links and QR codes, PDF resume export with video links, profile analytics, and the backend and infrastructure behind it.

Most people don't like how they come across on camera. We built in-browser recording for video intros and answers to common questions, with an AI coach that reviews each take and gives feedback on delivery, such as pace, filler words and eye contact, so people can re-record with a clear idea of what to improve.

Profiles built for different roles
Someone applying to very different roles needs to present themselves differently. Each account can hold several profiles, each tailored to a kind of role and each with its own link, QR code and PDF resume export that links to the videos.

Verified identity
Video builds trust only if viewers know the person is real. We integrated identity verification through a verification provider, so a profile can show that the job seeker's identity has been checked against a government-issued ID.

Job seekers want to know whether anyone is watching. We built profile analytics for views and engagement, on a NestJS backend that handles accounts, profiles, video storage and processing.
